Our team is creating a robotic arm from scratch. This project will give members of the team experience in circuit design, microcontroller programming, and CAD. We are buying electronic components and 3d printing the structure of the arm. The arm works using a suction cup, which can be turned on and off via a vacuum pump. This semester, we are constructing a prototype arm that will be controlled manually via joysticks which are connected to an Arduino microcontroller. Later, we will look to specialize our arm for a specific use, and will likely incorporate computer vision into it.

Project Overview

Here at the robotic arm team, we love three things: fun, learning, and arms.
